pspanThe uMultiMedia Photographer/u researches, writes, captures visual content and edits general assignment stories for multiple platforms. /span/pullipKGET and Telemundo Bakersfield have an opening for a news videographer./pp/ppA news videographer is a journalist who has the ability to record and edit images for television; Working alone or with a reporter and working on deadline, he or she conducts interviews, shoots supporting video and transmits that video to the station./pp/ppIn this job, he or she combines artistic talent, technical expertise, and composition skills to produce images that will provide a visual story on a given topic as assigned./pp/ppuspanJob Summary:/span/u/ppuspanPrincipal Duties amp; Responsibilities:/span/u/p/liliShoots and edits news video stories, including daily news, special news, features, sports and live events./liliCollaborates effectively with reporter in a professional manner to create news stories for broadcast or digital platforms./liliTakes direction from, and interact with, the assignment desk, producers, reporters, anchors and production control room personnel./liliMaintains and operates camera equipment as well as company vehicle safely and efficiently./lilipuspanSpecialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:/span/u/p/liliMaintains positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments./liliResponds positively to feedback./liliAbility to edit raw video to newscast form in a manner to complete the story for the viewer./liliProficient in social networking sites. Ex: Twitter, Facebook./liliMust be detail-oriented./liliMust present professional image as a representation of the station at all times./lilipuspanEducation/Experience:/span/u/p/liliHigh School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor#39;s degree or equivalent in broadcasting, journalism, or related field preferred./liliVideo photography and journalism background preferred./lili/lilipuspanTraining/Equipment:/span/u Operate live trucks and camera equipment. Proficient in ADOBE Premiere editing System./ppuspanWork Environment/Mental/Physical Requirements:/span/u/ppMust be able to operate computer and editing machine./ppHigh stress environment with deadline pressures and the demands of breaking news, which can happen at any time./pp/ppPosition requires multi-tasking./pp Must be willing and able to work any and all shifts as necessary, including overnights/early morning, days, nights, weekends, and holidays./pp/ppTravel will be required on a regular basis. Position requires the transport of equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
