Remembrance, Resolution, Reconciliation, Restoration, Renewal About the Position: The Senior Counselor is responsible to implement services of the PGYCC project, serving as both a Program Mentor and a Senior Mentor.  The Senior Counselor provides oversight of services, monitors the assigned tasks of counselors, serves as a liaison between project staff and PGYCC personnel, conducts trainings and meetings, and works directly with youth participants. br/br/divi style="font-size: 11pt;"Full-Time/i/divdivi style="font-size: 11pt;"On-Site/i/divdivi style="font-size: 11pt;"Non-Exempt position. /i/divbr/br/bWhat You Will Do:/bbr/liAssists the Engagement Director to oversee the service delivery of the program./liliAssists in monitoring assigned tasks of counselors; participates in service delivery./liliParticipates in planning and facilitating services prescribed in the work plan./liliAssists in identifying and coordinating facilitation of evidence-based programming./liliProvides and assists in staff supervision; reviews counselor records for quality control and accuracy./liliEnsures timely and accurate submission of required documentation./liliServes as a liaison between counselors, coordinator, and PGYCC personnel./liliConducts evidence-based workshops; attends staff meetings and team conferences./liliAttends to client needs in a thorough and timely manner; speaks of and to clients with dignity and respect; maintains confidentiality, ethics, and professional conduct./liliProvides individual counseling services and conducts groups, rap sessions./liliRecognizes and responds to high risk factors including suicidal and homicidal ideations./liliRecognizes and defuses volatile or dangerous situations as allowable./liliFollows established Federal and State guidelines on confidentiality./liliMaintains current knowledge regarding counseling skills, prevention risk, and protective factors./liliSeeks supervision and consultation as needed./liliPlans and participates in community cultural and recreational activities, attends trainings for skill development./liliModels professional behaviors supervises counseling staff, makes caseload assignments, assists in ensuring record keeping is accurate and timely; assists in developing and evaluating work plan goals and attainment./liliMonitors program census and assists in development and implementation of recruitment strategies./liliAssists in supervising, training, and addressing staff issues./liliReviews, approves, and makes recommendations regarding documentation and client goals./liliRepresents Engagement Director in his/her absence, leads or co-leads staff meetings, assists in interviewing prospective candidates and determining staff evaluations; maintains a climate which attracts, keeps, and motivates a full staff complement of well-qualified individuals/liliAddresses staff/client complaints and assists in resolving them./liliHandles all local operations and functions related to PGYCC/liliLiaises between PGYCC and Amity Foundation to ensure a therapeutic program environment that is individualized for each youth, structured to include a daily regimen that promotes positive change./liliProvides written documentation required for PGYCC reporting requirements/liliContinued training as required by contract and applicable government agency. /liliAdditional duties as assigned./libr/br/bWhat You Will Bring:/bbr/liEducation and licensed as a psychologist, social worker, or licensed marriage and family therapist, bOR /b/liliCertification in Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), bOR/b/liliTwo (2) years of experience conducting professional counseling in a community organization or treatment center established for the purpose of aiding individuals with alcohol related psychological, social, or physical problems, bOR/b/liliThree (3) years of experience in social casework or teaching experience with youthful offenders./liliMust pass a background check administered by CDCR./lilibPreferred:/b/liliCDCR prefers Amity (the Contractor) to hire PCs who are formerly incarcerated, or justice involved individuals who have demonstrated the ability to live productive and law-abiding lives since discharge from the criminal justice system./libr/br/bWhat We Offer:/bbr/liMedical, Dental, Vision./liliPaid vacation, sick time, amp; holidays./lili401K, HSA, amp; Life insurance programs/liliOrganization committed to communitynbsp;action./liliCommunity oriented workplace/li
