Due to recent growth, we are looking for a Modernization Mechanic to work in the West Chester, PA area.br / nbsp;/p pAs an Elevator Mechanic you will be responsible for the modernization of elevators and other lifting equipment. The Elevator Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of the equipment, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical issues that may arise.nbsp; This involves skilled mechanical work and intricate control circuits./p pnbsp;/p pstrongResponsibilities:/strong/p ul liResponsible for inspecting elevators of all types and makes, determining the cause of faulty operation, making repairs and adjustments, and troubleshooting problems./li liAbility to diagnose deficiency of equipment and make recommendations for major changes or requirements./li liInstall, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and other lifting equipment/li liKnowledge and ability to analyze and repair failures, especially in emergency situations./li liTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues./li liRepair or replace defective parts./li liConduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly./li liRespond to emergency repair calls in a timely manner./li liMaintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed./li liProvide excellent customer service to building owners and occupants./li liPerforms other duties as assigned./li /ul h4Qualifications/h4brul liState and/or city issued Mechanicrsquo;s license as required./li liCompletion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training in elevator repair./li liMinimum of 4 years of elevator experience./li liKnowledge of electrical and mechanical systems./li liStrong problem-solving skills./li liExcellent communication and customer service skills./li liKnowledge of safety regulations and building codes./li liStrong attention to detail./li liPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces./li liValid driver#39;s license./li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongWork Environment amp; Hazards:/strong/p ul liThe Elevator Mechanic will work in a variety of settings, including commercial buildings, hospitals, airports, and residential complexes./li liThe job may involve working at heights or in confined spaces./li liHazards may include electrical shock, falls, and exposure to hazardous chemicals./li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongSpecial Physical Demands:/strong/p ul liThe Elevator Mechanic must be able to lift heavy equipment up to fifty pounds (50lbs) or more, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces./li liThe job may require standing for prolonged periods of time and working in awkward position./li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongWork Contact Group:/strong/p ul liModerate contact with internal departments, regulatory agencies, customers, contractors, and management./li /ul pnbsp;/p pWe are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and professional growth of our team.
