Speaking, hearing, visual, bending/stooping, walking, reaching. strongPosition is rated as a Level 4 ndash; lifting/carrying 50-100 lbs occasionally, 25-50 lbs frequently, and 10-20 lbs continuously.nbsp; Individuals employed at the high school and middle school level are eligible for employment if a score of 3 or 4 is accomplished on the physical capacity test.nbsp; Individuals scoring a 3 are limited to Level 3 medium work unless assisted ndash; 20-50 lbs lifting/carrying occasionally, 10-25 lbs frequently and up to 10 lbs continuously.nbsp; span style="text-decoration: underline;"Failure to comply with physical limits established by physical capacity test will result in disciplinary action for unsafe practice/span.nbsp; This physical requirement revision was requested and approved by the Worker Compensation Committee on 11-17-15./strong/p pnbsp;/p pstrongElementary custodians will be required to meet Level 4 physical requirements./strong/p pnbsp;/p pstrongPerformance Responsibilities:nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; /strong/p ol liRespond to requests for services in a timely and courteous manner/li liPerform maintenance and/or repair tasks in accordance with appropriate standards and procedures/li liComplete a variety of work assignments as assigned/li liClean and maintain the building interiors, including floors and carpeting, walls, furniture, window glass, mirrors, ceilings andnbsp;similar areas/li liPerform routine maintenance on such items as lights, mechanical equipment, filters, furniture, ceiling tile andnbsp;similar areas/li liReport any unsafe conditions or needed building repair, at times by requisition, to the building principal/li liRequisition and maintain the proper supply of custodial materials and equipment/li liRespond to staff and/or administration in a courteous and helpful manner/li liRecommend and monitor the custodial budget and record of expenditures and prepare reports and maintain records as assigned/li liProvide outdoor school ground clean-up and safety, including such activities as the care of grass, plants, trash, and outdoor equipment such as basketball courts and equipment/li liEnsure building is open and secure at the proper times/li liAssist in snow removal or other related duties as assigned/li liAccomplish assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner/li liOperate and care for equipment/li liConsult with supervisor about various job problems/li liDemonstrate professional image through appearance, language, and work ethic/li liAccomplish in a safe and efficient manner tasks such as sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, polishing, emptying waste receptacles, cleaning restrooms and water fountains, washing windows and walls, replacing light bulbs and filters, setting up and removing school equipment and furniture, making minor building repairs, and performing preventative maintenance/li liPrepare building for successful inspections/li liEnsure proper working fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency lights, smoke detectors andnbsp;similar devices/li liPerform related duties as assigned/li /ol pstrongTerms of Employment/strong:nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;/p pnbsp;/p p12 months; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education./p pnbsp;/p pstrongEvaluation:/strong/p pnbsp;/p pPerformance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board policy on evaluation of Support Services Personnel./p pnbsp;/p pstrongSignificant associations: /strong/p pstrongnbsp;/strong/p pThe performance responsibilities are not limited to those outlined in this description and may include any other responsibilities as assigned by the administrator/supervisor./p
