From performing preventative maintenance and inspections, to troubleshooting and making repairs to maximize production, the Solar Maintenance Technician gets to exercise a verity of skill sets and has constant opportunities to learn more. All while making an impact on our safe, reliable, clean energy future./p pThis role will encompass performing the preventative and corrective maintenance on the solar modules, strings, trackers, and inverters./p pstrongResponsibilities/strong/p ul liUphold a high level of safety standards in everything that you do/li liConducting routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities/li liWillingness to learn the NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices/li liDC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing/li liInterpret schematics to understand system layouts and connections/li liMaintain a schedule for routine maintenance, service, trouble shooting and repair of equipment at solar photovoltaic facilities including but not limited to: Single Axis trackers, Central or String Inverters, Transformers, AC and DC disconnects, Substation equipment/li liMaintaining company property such as vehicle, tools, meters and plant stock/li liMaintaining service reports, inspection documentation, safety paperwork, and spare parts inventory/li liProvide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians and others as needed/li liIdentify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards/li /ul pstrongQualification Requirements/strong/p ul liFamiliarity with electrical systems and components/li lispan data-olk-copy-source="MailCompose"Illinois Electrical License or Master Electrician highly preferred/span/li liProficiency in using power tools for repair tasks/li liAbility to read and interpret schematics accurately/li liProficiency with MS Office suite/li liAbility to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight/li liValid Driver’s License/li liWorking knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, and 70B/li liOSHA 10 General Industry certificate/li liMust have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends/li /ul pstrongPhysical Requirements/Work Environment:/strong/p ul liWork is to be performed outdoors at various job sites./li liMust be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
