Inputs data and updates electronic databases./p/lilipAssists with the administration of financial processes./p/lilipAdvises, investigates, problem-solves and resolve questions and issues about student accounts./p/lilipMay coordinate and perform training./p/lilipPerforms other duties as assigned/p/li/ulp/ppThis document represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all tasks and functions. Other duties may be assigned./pp/ppbAdditional Responsibilities/b/pullipSupports the operations of records management while complying with federal, state, and university management retention policies./p/lilipSupports the operations of records management by providing full cycle records management services for the University’s inactive records including timely disposal services for confidential and sensitive records while complying with state, federal, and university management retention policies./p/lilipReceives and evaluates transcripts and credit by examination results of existing students; enters transfer work into student records transfer credit system while maintaining general transfer equivalencies; responds to inquiries from other campus officials, students, and other institutions concerning transfer credit./p/lilipProvides advising and examines academic records of students to determine progress towards degree and eligibility for graduation./p/lilipDisseminates information to students to include program admission criteria, course registration options, degree completion, and when needed, refers students to appropriate university offices for assistance./p/lilipTeaches students regarding program monitoring and planning based on catalog requirements./p/lilipAssists with graduation activities and final checkouts./p/lilipAssists with the general functions and activities of the Office of the University Registrar./p/lilipParticipates in professional development opportunities to enhance advising knowledge and record management skills./p/li/ulp/ppbMinimum Requirements/b/pullipbEducation/b – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education./p/lilipbExperience/b – One year of experience in student services, retention, advising or other related area./p/li/ulp/ppbKnowledge and Abilities/b/pp/ppKnowledge of:/pullipStrong computer knowledge./p/lilipGeneral office practices and procedures./p/li/ulp/ppAbility to:/pullipCommunicate effectively, orally and in writing./p/lilipInteract effectively and professionally with the general public and the students served./p/lilipPlan, organize, and perform tasks accurately and independently./p/lilipStrong time-management skills./p/lilipMaintain confidentiality and abide by federal, state, system, and institutional rules and regulations./p/li/ulp/ppbLicensing / Professional Certification/b b– /bNone./pp/ppbPhysical Requirements/b – General Office Environment./pp/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
