pstronguA Brief Overview/u/strongbr /ppOrganizes and conducts Occupational Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities. The Occupational Therapist directs the patient's participation in selected activities/treatments to restore, re-enforce and correct pathology to promote and/or maintain good health./ppstronguWhat You Will Do/u/strongbr /pulliPerforms evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient’s rehabilitation needs within the care continuum./liliPerforms effective treatment techniques in a competent manner./liliEducates patient/family/caregiver in applicable health information, treatment and prevention./liliInitiates and participates in the discharge planning process./liliPerforms other department activities such as, but not limited to documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc./li/ulpstronguAdditional Responsibilities/u/strongbr /pulliPerforms other duties as assigned./liliComplies with all policies and standards./liliFor specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation./liliMust abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
