pThe district is seeking Paraprofessionals and Personal Care Assistants for positions for to assist students receiving special education services for the 2024-2025 School Year.nbsp;/p pnbsp;/p pstrongParaprofessional Positions include: Healthcare benefits (including vision and dental), Pennsylvania State Employee Pension and paid time off!nbsp;/strong/p pnbsp;/p pTITLE: Paraprofessional/ Personal Care Aide/p pLocation: District-wide (assignments will be made based upon the needs of the students)/p pREPORTS TO: Director/Supervisor of Special Education/p pTERMS: approximately 185 days (student days, plus training days) beginning 2024-2025nbsp;school year./p pnbsp;/p pQUALIFICATIONS:/p ol li48 College credits, ParaEd Certification and/or willingness to obtain ParaEd Certification./li liExperience with Special Education (and positive behavior management) is preferred./li liDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others as part of a team./li liMust have good organizational skills, maintain confidentiality and be flexible./li /ol pnbsp;/p pESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:/p ol liSupport Students who receive special education services in special education, generaleducation, one to one situations and/or small groups./li liImplement and support individualized positive behavior support plans; provide scheduled reinforcement; utilize de-escalation strategies for highly escalated student behavior./li liDocument progress toward the student's goals./li liSupport teachers by completing paperwork and clerical duties as required./li liAttend District training session/li /ol pnbsp;/p pApply through the Upper Perkiomen School District website: https://www.upsd.org/departments/humanresources/employment-opportunities/p pEEO/MFVD/p
