Studies include with and without contrast, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Sonographer works closely with Cardiology to ensure quality of exams and timeliness of results./pp/ppbResponsibilities/b:/pp/pulliEstablishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all hospital departments and provider offices./liliAbility to scan on average 8 patients per shift, including both outpatient and inpatient./liliDemonstrates appropriate skills and ability to assess, treat and/or care for patients based on the patient’s physical condition./liliCorrelates clinical history with the test performed and consults with referring physician or cardiologist regarding patient’s history and decision of appropriate exam required./liliPerforms all types of echocardiography studies./liliPerforms IV insertions for contrast studies, or willingness to be trained on IV insertions./liliCoordinates schedule with Imaging Services Coordinators and charge nurses to complete departmental workload in a timely fashion./liliMaintain order and cleanliness of department./liliComplete all proper documentation to ensure timely results./liliRecommend action necessary for quality improvement Operate ultrasound unit independently./liliShow flexibility in covering shifts to accommodate departmental and patient needs./liliOther duties as needed and required./li/ulp/ppbOther Information/b:/pp/pulliRCS or RDCS required./liliBLS Required./li/ulp/ppbCompetencies and Skills/bbr //pp/pulliNo previous experience required./liliMinimum of 1 year experience preferred./liliBehaves with Integrity and Builds Trust: Acts consistently in line with the core values, commitments and rules of conduct.
