Many of our interns return as full-time engineers after graduation, making this the perfect way to launch your career./ppbr//ppstrongJob Overview/strong/ppThe strongMechanical Engineer Intern/strong works alongside Mechanical Engineers and Designers to gain hands-on experience to the technical specification, design, and documentation of stainless-steel food and dairy equipment and systems for both new and retrofit projects. This role provides practical engineering experience in a collaborative, custom project-driven environment./ppbr//ppstrongWhat You’ll Do/strong/pp· Creating Bills of Material (BOMs), customer drawings, and manufacturing drawingsnbsp;/pp· Building and updating 3D CAD models to support new designs and product improvementsnbsp;/pp· Assisting with fabrication and design drawings for equipment such as tanks and material handling systemsnbsp;/pp· Updating redline drawings to reflect design changesnbsp;/pp· Evaluating and troubleshooting mechanical equipment to improve safety, reliability, and costnbsp;/pp· Optimizing designs for manufacturability and efficiencynbsp;/pp· Researching and solving technical challenges independently or with engineering teamsnbsp;/pp· Collaborating with cross-functional groups including electrical engineers, control system programmers, manufacturing teams, and customersnbsp;/pp· Growing expertise in specific technical areas and supporting others on the teamnbsp;/pp· Pitching in with additional engineering tasks as needed/ppRequirements/ppnbsp;strongRequired/strong/pp· Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineeringnbsp;/pp· Strong mechanical aptitude and a natural interest in how things worknbsp;/pp· Proven problem-solving ability, curiosity, and willingness to learnnbsp;/pp· Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skillsnbsp;/pp· Ability to handle multiple projects and stay organizednbsp;/pp· Clear and professional communication skillsnbsp;/pp· Comfortable working with team members, customers, and external partnersnbsp;/pp· Ability to travel up to 5%nbsp;/pp· Willingness to relocate if needednbsp;/ppbr//ppstrongPreferred/strong/pp· Previous manufacturing co-op or intern experience/pp· Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher/pp· Experience using SolidWorks program software/ppbr//ppstrongCompensation and Benefits:/strong/ppSalary range: strong$21.00 - $28.00 / hr/strong/ppemThis pay is based on relevant skills, education level, and prior experience.
