pDescription/ppustrongGENERAL SUMMARY:/strong/u/ppThe Driver/ Valet will be responsible for the operation of transportation services provided by The Vered and that the services provided are to the satisfaction nbsp;of residents utilizing transportation services provided.nbsp;/ppRequirements/ppustrongPRINCIPLE DUTIES:/strong/unbsp;/ppstrongEssential Job Duties:nbsp;/strong/pp(Other duties will be assigned as needed) Must be willing and able to do the following:/ppnbsp;nbsp;/pp• Assist residents on and off bus/van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.)/pp• Responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings, and extended trips as scheduled./pp• Load groceries and other purchased items into bus/van/pp• Safely park and retrieve vehicles in designated areas./pp• Greet residents, guests, and vendors promptly and professionally upon arrival and departure/pp• Report any incidents, accidents, or damage to the appropriate supervisor immediately/pp• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the driveway, lobby entrance, parking garage, and valet stand./pp• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance with the support of the department director/pp• Clean and wash vehicle regularly/pp• Observe and abide by all regulations to ensure that personal health information is protection during its collection, use, disclosure, storage, and destruction within the community; and to ensure only the minimum necessary information is known to function in this position/pp• Follow written and oral directions/pp• Maintain confidentiality of resident and community information/pp• Attend all in-services as assigned or requested/pp• Consistently work cooperatively with residents, co-workers, physicians, families, consultant personnel and other ancillary service providers/pp• Observe all community safety policies and procedures to ensure resident safety at all times/ppustrongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/unbsp;/pp· High school diploma or GED emrequired/em/pp· Minimum six (6) months experience as a bus/van driver required/pp· Must possess current and valid driver’s license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed/pp· Must possess personal driving record consistent with the requirements of the community policy/pp· Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language/pp· Must be artistically creative, motivational, and energetic with a passion for serving others/pp· Must possess patience and sensitivity to others’ needs; ability to work with community groups; willingness to work beyond normal working hours/pp· Familiarity with required electronics, including but not limited to iPads, tablets, smart TVs, and digital cameras/pp· Good communication skills (oral and written)/pp· Good inter-department communication and teamwork skills/pp· Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community/ppustrongPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:/strong/u/pp· Lifts and carries up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally/pp· Pushes and pulls up to 100 lbs. occasionally/pp· Climbs, reaches, bends and twists occasionally/pp· Talks and listens occasionally/pp· Sits 4 hours per day; stands and walks 4 hours per day (combined) – 8 hr. day/pp· Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions./pp· Uses tools and equipment on the job such as: Personal computer, Bus, van, and general automobile, Cellular phone, CB, and/or 2-way radio/p
