You will work alongside teachers to ensure the learning, growth, and safety of all students throughout the school day.nbsp;br /br /If hired, Substitute Associates have the opportunity to sign up for their preferred schools and area(s) of preference, such as:/p ul listrongSpecial Education Associate/strong (greatest need/all schools/all grade levels) - $18.00/hour (After 100 worked days - $18.50/hour)/li listrongNon Special Education Associate Substitute:nbsp;/strong$16.00/hournbsp;(After 100 worked days - $16.50/hour)/li listrongBuilding secretary/receptionist/strong - $19.00/hour (After 100 worked days - $19.50/hour)/li listrongNutrition/strong - $18.00/hour/li /ul pnbsp;/p pstrongWagestream/strong - service through Frontline that allows access to part of your earnings every day!/p pnbsp;/p pGreat flexibility!nbsp; Hours vary from full days to partial days depending on the assignment. nbsp;Choose when you want to work through our online absence management system.nbsp; If you are selected as a sub, you will be contacted by email.nbsp; A criminalnbsp;as well as a child andnbsp;adult abuse check are run before an official start.nbsp;br /br /strongDesirable Position Criteria/strong/p ul liHigh School diploma, preferred/li /ul pstrongResponsibilities:/strong/p ul liWork with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher./li liAssist the teacher in devising strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests and abilities./li liOperate and care for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes./li liDistribute and collect workbooks, papers, and other materials for instruction./li liGuide independent work, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher./li liAssist with the supervision of the students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips./li liAssist with such large group activities as drill work, reading aloud, and story-telling./li liRead to students, listen to students read, and participate in such other forms of oral communication with students./li liAssist with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines./li liAssist with wash-up and toilet routines./li liMaintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers./li /ul pstrongNote:/strong/p pstrongLong term substitute associates position are available to start the school year.
