Your assigned tasks will not exceed your level of academic preparation or outside the scope of your competency level./pp style="text-align: start;"strongDuties and Responsibilities:/strong/pul class="editor-ul tight" data-tight="true"lipMeet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident./p/lilipMaintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care./p/lilipFollow physician’s orders. Renders and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders./p/lilipTranscribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately./p/lilipReview patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness./p/lilipDocument comprehensive and complete nursing notes./p/lilipVisit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs./p/lilipMaintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list./p/lilipDocument and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary./p/lilipAdminister medication according to procedure./p/lilipMaintain an accurate and safe control of all drugs for which he/she is responsible./p/lilipInitiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary./p/lilipDemonstrate correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job description./p/lilipComplies with facility Privacy Practices Policies and Procedures and protects residents’ individual health information./p/lilipOther duties assigned by Director of Nursing and other managerial team members./p/li/ulp style="text-align: start;"strongSpecific Requirements:/strong/pul class="editor-ul tight" data-tight="true"lipMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language./p/lilipMust possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions./p/lilipMust possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public./p/lilipMust be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care./p/lilipMust possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel./p/lilipMust possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care./p/lilipMust possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills./p/lilipMust be familiar with drug actions and interactions./p/lilipMust have knowledge of restorative nursing rehabilitation policies and utilizes appropriately./p/lilipMust have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents./p/lilipMust be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergencies./p/li/ulp style="text-align: start;"strongAbout Athena Health Care Systems:/strong/pp style="text-align: start;"Since its establishment in 1984, Athena Health Care Systems has pioneered the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
