pstrongPart-time, Rotating schedule/strong/p pstrong8 hours per week/strong/p pnbsp;/p pstrongGeneral Summary/strong/p pAbility to work independently to meet the client's needs, assess a crisis situation and provide stabilization to the client at the client's location as needed, resolve the crisis and appropriately refer the client to necessary services following policy and procedures./ph3Responsibilities/h3divpstrongDuties and Responsibilities/strongbr/br/strongEssential Functions:/strong/p ul liResponds promptly and appropriately to all calls./li liAssesses patient’s immediate needs./li liStabilizes patient using established crisis intervention techniques./li liUtilizes suicide precaution check list as appropriate./li liRefers to appropriate agency or service./li liFollows up on patient condition as outlined in policy./li liResponds to emergency mental health problems in the community./li liApplies established guidelines of the Mental Health Act./li liDischarges responsibilities of a Mental Health Delegate (including attending hearings as necessary)./li liFacilitates admission to a psychiatric facility./li liMaintains PCPC certification and other BDAP required annual training./li liRemains knowledgeable of all licensed county Damp;A services./li liArranges detox services as needed./li liProvides intake for county Damp;A funded services./li liUtilizes knowledge of community services./li liProvides information to inquiries./li liRemains updated to available community resources./li liAssesses the emergency of the need./li liArranges provision of need following policies and procedures./li liNotifies CAP or LCCM of authorized provisions following policies and procedures./li liFollows policies and procedures regarding Intensive Case Management patients./li liFollows policies and procedures regarding Family Focus patients./li liFosters cooperation between crisis counselors and MH/MR case managers (this would include follow-up calls to case managers regarding contact with their patients)./li liRemains aware of mandated reporter status regarding child abuse./li liUtilizes Childline as appropriate./li liFosters cooperation between crisis counselors and Camp;Y case managers./li liReports suspected Elder Abuse situations to AAA./li liFosters cooperation between crisis counselors and AAA case managers./li liDocuments according to department policy. Content includes: • Psychosocial assessmentAdditional patient information as required • Referral or resolution • Follow-up telephone contact/li liCompletes and submits required forms within established time-frame./li liEnters patient information (in computer system) promptly./li liReplenishes office supplies as needed./li /ul pstrongCommon Expectations:/strong/p ul liCompletes assignments promptly./li liSecures records to protect confidentiality./li liStays current on all safety requirements (including required training)./li liParticipates in the Performance Improvement Plan (including assigned duties)./li /ul pnbsp;/p/divh3Qualifications/h3divpstrongQualifications/strongbr/br/strongMinimum Education:/strong/p ul liBachelors Degree Required/li /ul pstrongWork Experience:/strong/p ul li2 years Mental health or crisis intervention experience with unrelated bachelor’s degree Required and/li liPsychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field of study Required/li /ul pstrongDriver's License Statement:/strong/p pMust possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence.
