pESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: br /Maintain a consistent elevated level of food quality and guest service. br /Maintain cleanliness of all back of the house area. br /Food production, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures for all food products. br /Technical skills of portion control and culinary service standards. br /Supervises daily kitchen operations. br /Proficiently creates production and transfer reports. br /Conducts new hire and on-going training programs with staff. br /Completes food ordering and inventory control. br /Organizes and maintains food storage areas daily, rotation and utilization of all food products. br /Communicates daily menu items to all line cooks. br /Conducts daily inspections of walk-ins, prep areas, all refrigeration units, and checks temperatures of those units. br /Maintains consistency in food presentation, taste, and temperature. br /Maintains a clean, neat, and sanitized work area. br /Shows excellent customer relations abilities. br /Ensures a safe working environment for all co-workers. br /Ability to write prep lists. br /Ensures all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working condition before using it. br /Promotes professional work habits that will develop respect and create return business from customers. br /Seek opportunities to minimize expenses and increase employee productivity without sacrificing guest services. br /Communicate with co-workers respectfully and follow directions from superiors. br /Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies. br /Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner. br /Outstanding example of and a credit to Downstream Casino Resort. br /Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. br /Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff. br /Attends all necessary training meetings. br /Assist in other projects, as directed. br /Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule./p pbr /QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: br /The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/ or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily./p pHigh School Diploma br /Three years of restaurant industry work, including at least one in a manager role br /Knowledge of food and labor cost br /Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook a plus br /Good arithmetic skills br /Good attention to detail br /Ability to remain calm in hectic circumstances br /Some previous experience in a kitchen environment br /Must be a team player. br /Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance. br /Must possess excellent communication skills. br /Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues. br /Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees. br /Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. br /Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license. br /Work nights, weekends and holidays as required. br /Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening./p pThe Downstream Casino Resort Adheres to all applicable Resolutions of the Quapaw Nation.
