pstrongJanitor (Bilingual – Spanish/English Required)/strongstrongLocation:/strong Chicago, ILbr /strongSchedule:/strong Two (2) Full-Time Positions Availablebr /Monday – Friday, 5:00 pm – 1:30 ambr /strongPay Rate:/strong $17.00 per hour (COE)/p pstrongKey Responsibilities:/strong/p pstrongThis job description provides a general overview of the role; management may assign other duties to meet operational needs./strong/p pstrongCleaning Sanitation:/strong/p ul li pPerform routine cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, cafeterias, and other common areas./p /li li pClean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, stalls, and fixtures./p /li li pSweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize high-touch surfaces./p /li li pEmpty trash bins and recycling containers; replace liners as needed./p /li li pClean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces./p /li /ul pstrongMaintenance Inspections:/strong/p ul li pReport repair or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor./p /li li pAssist with minor tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, or touch-up painting./p /li li pConduct regular inspections to ensure spaces are clean, orderly, and safe./p /li /ul pstrongGroundskeeping Setup:/strong/p ul li pKeep entryways, walkways, and outdoor areas free of debris./p /li li pAssist with clearing snow, leaves, or trash as needed./p /li li pHelp prepare rooms for events, activities, or meetings by arranging furniture and equipment./p /li /ul pstrongSupply Management:/strong/p ul li pMonitor and restock janitorial and restroom supplies./p /li li pMaintain a clean and organized supply storage area./p /li li pCommunicate supply needs to the supervisor for ordering./p /li /ul pstrongSafety Security:/strong/p ul li pFollow all safety procedures when handling cleaning products and equipment./p /li li pReport any safety hazards or security concerns immediately./p /li li pSupport emergency drills or procedures as directed./p /li /ul pstrongQualifications:/strong/p ul li pHigh school diploma or equivalent./p /li li pstrongBilingual in Spanish and English (required)./strong/p /li li pPrior custodial/janitorial experience preferred, especially in schools or large facilities./p /li li pKnowledge of cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment./p /li li pAbility to safely operate custodial machinery (e.g., vacuum, floor buffer)./p /li li pStrong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork./p /li li pAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods./p /li /ul p /p pstrongDisclaimer:/strong/p pThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by jobholders within this job.
