Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism while on the road./liliConduct vehicle inspections as required by DOT regulations./liliReport mechanical defects to the appropriate shop staff./liliMaintain, read, and understand route sheets, including time changes./liliMaintain scheduled route to established time and mileage. Immediately notify the supervisor of changes/delays./liliMaintain control of passengers at all times to ensure safe operation of the vehicle. Record and report incidents/problems through the appropriate procedures established by the Company./liliWhen transporting special needs/exceptional passengers, manage care and behavior within the guidelines established by the state./liliReport all vehicle and passenger accidents/incidents to your supervisor promptly and comply with company accident response procedures./liliReport work-related injuries to the supervisor and comply with the company's workers’ compensation procedures./liliMaintain a valid driver’s license, physical exam certification, and appropriate endorsements./liliComply with company procedures regarding vehicle keys, lock boxes, and video cameras./liliAttend training and safety meetings as required by federal and state regulations and by the Company./liliKeep the vehicle clean and orderly daily./liliFuel the bus following terminal standards./liliOperate vehicle communication systems within the guidelines of company policies./liliReport all personal motor vehicle violations to the supervisor, and as required by DOT regulations./liliOther job-related duties as assigned./li/ulpustrongDIRECT REPORTS:/strong/u/pulliGeneral Manager/li/ulpRequirements/ppnbsp;ustrongQUALIFICATIONS: /strong/uTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid CDL Class B license with passenger endorsement and Airbrake restriction removed./lilinbsp;2. Must meet physical qualifications for a DOT physical and drug test./lilinbsp;3. Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record, criminal history record, and child abuse history record.nbsp;/lili4. Must be willing to work 10-12 hour days at least 3 days a week (Part-time) and (Full-time) at least 4 days, 10-12 hour days.nbsp;/lili5. strongSchedule includes weekends and holidays on rotation.nbsp;/strong/lili6. Ability to effectively manage passenger behavior in a non-confrontational manner.nbsp;/lili7. Ability to manage vehicle and passenger emergencies calmly and appropriately.nbsp;/lili8. Ability to safely load and unload wheelchair passengers, following Company procedures.nbsp;/lili9. Operate a lift for passengers who cannot navigate the bus steps.nbsp;/lili10. Must successfully complete required skills and classroom recertification training.
