Must have 1 year of experience working in a underground coal mine, 6 months must be face experience.br/strong/p pstrongReports to:/strongnbsp;Shift Foreman/p pThe essential functions of this position were determined to be:/p p1. Fill in on the production units as needed. This may require running equipment (roof bolter, scoop, shuttle car, or continuous miner), hanging curtains or acting section foreman/lead man./p p2. Ability to maintain roadways (water/grade)/p p3. Ability to build brattices, overcasts, and set up new units and prepare for seal building./p p4. Ability to haul supplies and unload as needed./p p5. Ability to assist in belt and power moves./p p6. Ability to reclaim belt and framing from old panels./p p7. Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs./p p8. Proficient operating at least 2 of the following pieces of equipment - Roof Bolter Roof Ranger II, Continuous Miner, Scoop and Shuttle Car./p p9. Other tasks under the direction of the shift foreman./p pstrongWork Objectives:nbsp;/strongTo complete tasks assigned by the shift foreman safely and proficiently./p pstrongWork Schedule:nbsp;/strongMine normally operates three (3) shifts per day. Employees will work five (5) days, Monday through Friday. Periodically, miners will be required to work a sixth (6th) day on Saturday. Will be on straight 3rd shift. which is primarily maintenance./p pstrongProduction and Performance Standards:nbsp;/strongCircumstances vary daily, self-paced. Works closely with productions units and must be prepared to move from place to place quickly./p
