This position is also responding for operating a variety of grinders to prepare, clean and finish welds for customer equipment orders./ppbr//ppstrongBasic Job Functions:/strongnbsp;/pp· Read and interpret drawings./pp· Read measurements to weld assemblies using a variety of measuring devices./pp· Assemble components using a variety of powered and hand tools./pp· Set up and adjust welding equipment to perform high quality welds.nbsp;/pp· Operate a variety of grinders to prepare, clean and finish welds.nbsp;/pp· Mentorship to other co-workers/pp· Daily production goals based on schedule to ensure on-time, high quality project completion./pp· Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety./ppRequirements/ppstrongRequired:/strong/pp· High School Diploma or GED./pp· 5 years’ experience welding TIG amp; MIG./pp· Ability to perform basic shop math functions./pp· Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings./pp· Ability to work well with other./pp· Ability to problem solve./pp· Ability to read and interpret drawings./pp· Strong attention to detail.nbsp;/ppbr//ppstrongPreferred/strong:nbsp;/pp· Experience with sanitary equipment fabrication./pp· Metal finishing to sanitary RA32 standards.nbsp;/pp· One or two year welding diploma from technical college or relevant welding experience./pp· Knowledge of relative safety standards./ppnbsp;/ppnbsp;strongTraining:/strong/ppAll welding new hires will participate in APT’s strongWelding Training Program/strong to gain a thorough understanding of APT’s welding standards and practices.
