Provides clinical services according to radiology/imaging practice standards. Demonstrates skills and knowledge in use of all ultrasound equipment and performance of all protocols and procedures. Demonstrates technical proficiency in producing high quality exams within the appropriate length of time for procedure./span/pp/ppbuGENERAL DUTIES/u/b/pulliProvides clinical services according to Radiology practice standards to ensure optimal department functions:br /- Performs the technical aspects of Diagnostic Ultrasound and produces images of internal organs displaying quality and proficiency.br /- Observes and monitors patient#39;s vital signs.br /- Monitors medical equipment attached to the patient during the radiographic procedure.br /- Reviews physician orders with the Radiologist to ensure the proper examination and diagnostic results are obtained as required.br /- Demonstrates a satisfactory working knowledge of PACS./liliAdministers sound patient care practices according to department and hospital policies and procedures to ensure the safety of the patient:br /- Communicates effectively with patient to obtain clinical history/informed consent from patient.br /optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination.br /- Explains procedure to patients/families and answers any questions to ease anxiety and assure patient cooperation./liliMaintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of the patients and employees:br /- Checks and inspects the suite, equipment and accessories daily for physical or mechanical hazards.
