pAustin Bridge Road is currently seeking experienced strongAsphalt Paving Machine Screed Operators/strong for any of the North Texas asphalt projects. We excel at what we do and are looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel with us./p pThe strongAsphalt Paving Machine Screed Operator/strong is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the screed. This positions operates the screed to provide the level asphalt surface./p p /p pstrongResponsibilities /strong/p ul liPerform daily equipment maintenance and inspections/li liOperate equipment in a safe and efficient manner/li liPrior to and at the end of each shift ensure the screed is clean and properly adjusted for the type of paving to be completed./li liMonitor temperature settings/li liAdjust the screed paving reference components to the project specs, paving, width, depth (thickness), grade and slope/li liEnsure proper contact between gates and the paving surface/li liAdjust endgate springs and chains for clearance/li liBe able to troubleshoot problems and make the necessary screed adjustments concerning the asphalt during paving operations/li liInstall/Remove electronic grade control/li liAssist paving crew with site preparation and any other activity as needed/li liParticipate as a vital team member, contributing towards Austin’s success/li liAttend daily safety meetings/li liFollow safety policies and procedures/li liWork hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs; days, nights and weekends/li liAble to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures/li liOther duties as assigned/li /ul pstrongQualifications /strong/p ul li1+ years of experience operating asphalt equipment/li liMust have a strong commitment to jobsite safety/li liDiligent in demonstrating safe work practices./li liApplicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
