Works cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient-care personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.p/ppbJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/b/pullipPerforms in depth, systematic assessment of all assigned patients/p/lilipFormulates collaborative and individualized plan of care and identifies expected patient outcomes using the nursing process/p/lilipImplements, evaluates and documents patient care interventions and effectiveness in accordance with care plan/p/lilipOrganizes, coordinates and prioritizes patient care consistently utilizing available resources/p/lilipDemonstrates competence in and current knowledge in Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nursing/p/lilipDemonstrates competency in and current knowledge of cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management/p/lilipAppropriately utilizes assistive devices whenever appropriate to ensure safe patient handling. Utilizes proper body mechanics/p/lilipFunctions as a professional role model and resource person providing guidance to coworkers/p/lilipDemonstrates competency in the assessment, range of treatment, knowledge of growth and development and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated/p/lilipMaintains responsibility for own professional development through active participation in in-services and/or continuing education programs./p/li/ulp/ppbspanPHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: /span/b/ppspanSit up to 2 hours per day; 1 hour at a time.span /spanStand for up to 8 hours per day; 4 hours at a time.span /spanWalk up to 6 hours per day; 10 minutes at a time.span /spanConsistently lift, carry and push objects up to 10 pounds. Frequently lift, carry and push objects up to 75 pounds. Transport patients weighing up to 300 lbs. via wheelchair, bed and/or stretcher with assistance when appropriate. Consistently pull up to 10 lbs. Frequently pull up to 300 lbs. with assistance when appropriate. Frequently stoop and bend, crouch, kneel and climb.span /spanFrequently reach above shoulder level. Occasional crawling. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Frequently finger and handle objects. Occasionally firmly grasp, twist, turn objects with hands and fingers.span /spanMust be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation, and high and low frequencies.span /spanMust be able to see as it relates to general, near, far color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and visual monotony (e.g. computer screen).span /span/span/pp/ppbspanEDUCATION: span /span/span/b/ppspanC/spanspanurrent Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey or Pennsylvania (based upon assignment location) required./span/ppspan /span/ppbspanTRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: /span/b/ppspanTwo years of experience working as an RN in a critical care setting. Evidence of successful completion or completion of an approved Dysrhythmia Detection Course required. BLS, ACLS certification required. /spanspanSuccessful completion of individualized orientation program. /spanspanBasic computer skills required.
