divdivJob Description/div/divdivdivdivdivdivdivdivdivdivpbEssential Responsibilities:/b/pullipMoving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility, according to storage requirements, shelf-life regulations, and staging procedures./p/lilipStacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions./p/lilipEnsuring loads are properly secure, including performing material handling procedures to correctly stack, palletize, ship, and move material./p/lilipStacking and storage of empty pallets, crates, etc./p/lilipPerforming daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment./p/lilipUnloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places./p/lilipDisposal of waste materials/recyclables through the use and movement of machine hoppers, roll-offs, and other required equipment./p/lilipLocate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment./p/lilipIdentify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies./p/lilipPerform a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan./p/lilipRearrange and take inventory of stored materials, examines stored materials and reports deterioration and damage. Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment./p/lilipThis position can alternate between outdoor and indoor environments, potentially exposing employees to environmental hazards./p/lilipOperate tools and equipment in performance of duties as approved per management./p/lilipConducts assigned portions of inventories. Uses bar code wands, labeling equipment, laser scanning equipment, and/or computer terminals. May require a CAC for system access./p/lilipOperates a manually controlled gasoline, electric or liquid propane gas powered forklift to transport goods and materials of all kinds within a warehouse./p/lilipObserves and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment./p/lilipPerforms all housekeeping and maintenance duties as needed to ensure workspace upkeep./p/lilipPerforms all other duties as assigned, requested, or related, unless otherwise excluded by this description or the established collective bargaining agreement./p/li/ulp/ppbMinimum Requirements:/b/pullipHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. /p/lilipTwelve months job related experience and/or training is required./p/lilipMust possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle./p/lilipPosition may require travel./p/lilipPosition requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance./p/lilipMust be able to speak, read and understand English./p/lilipThis position requires the candidate to pass a pre-employment physical examination and urinary analysis./p/lilipMust be available for any shift, must be willing to work weekends and other hours as needed./p/lilipMust be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
