Assist Branch Manager or Irrigation Manager in scheduling and supervising any Technician I II./p pstrongESSENTIAL DUTIES/strong/p ul liAlways abide by company code of conduct and safety standards/li liTrench, backfill and excavate soil for irrigation repairs or installations/li liMaintain organize, stocked and clean irrigation truck and tools/li liMaintain job site safe, clean, and organized condition/li liAbility to understand and follow all standard irrigation procedures safely/li liAbility to understand irrigation components and terminology/li liAbility to understand replace and adjust both spray heads and rotors properly/li liAbility to understand, manually operate irrigation valves, replacement and adjustments/li liAbility to understand complete irrigation forms for material usage and work request/li liInspects equipment to ensure good working order and charged prior to arriving at job site or leaving the yard/li liEfficiently and completely perform irrigation inspections and mapping/li liInstallation of landscape drainage/li liAbility to troubleshoot irrigation problems and coverage issues/li liRepair and install PVC up to and including 3"/li liRepairs and replaces RVC's up to including 3"/li liAbility to operate irrigation system from the clock and make program adjustments/li liAbility to understand and troubleshoot both hydraulic and electrical issues/li liAbility to utilize, tracker, toner, voltmeter, ground fault locator/li liAbility to layout and design of all types of sprinkler heads/li liAbility to understand and install drip irrigation and the maintenance required/li liAbility to safely operation of a trencher/li liAbility to organize paperwork, timecards and inventory of truck/li liAssist with creating work orders and can estimate minor irrigation repairs and upgrades/li liAssist with providing complete and legible irrigation inspections/li liCan identify minor irrigation upgrades, field notes and basic site maps/li liCan perform and record complete PMI's/li liInstallation and programming all brands of controllers/li liInstallation of flow monitoring devises, wiring and testing/li liProper programing of flow devices/li liDesign and Installation of landscape drainage/li liTroubleshoot irrigation problems and coverage issues/li liRepair and install PVCs up to and including 4� and thrust blocks/li liRepair and install RVCs up to and including 4�/li liOperate irrigation system from the clock or remote by computer/li liAbility to layout design of all types of sprinkler heads/li liAbility to write proposals pertaining to repair, upgrades, and installations/li listrongCapable of two-wire troubleshooting and installation/strong/li liInstallation, design and maintenance of drip irrigation/li liTroubleshoot 24-volt field wiring and solenoid issues/li liTroubleshoot and program decoders on two wire systems/li liTroubleshoot and repair backflow devices/li liUnderstand proper controller programing/li liAssist with irrigation design in installation layout/li liAssist with hiring and training of Technician I II/li liCreate complete job start up inspections and proposals/li liCreate work orders, estimate irrigation repairs and upgrades/li liManage irrigation inventory/li liRead and understand blueprints/li liOther duties as assigned/li /ul pstrongExperience/strong/p ul liAt least four years� commercial irrigation experience/li /ul pstrongMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:/strong/p pstrongLicense or Certification /strong/p ul liAs required by state and federal law/li liValid driver license issued by the state where employed/li liBackflow Assembly Tester (BAT) License in state where employed preferred/li /ul pstrongSpecialized Skills /strong/p ul liStrong sense of customer service and urgency/li liEffective oral and written communication/li liAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines/li liAbility to work autonomously/li liOrganizational skills/li liFlexibility/li liBasic understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook/li liAbility to read, write and comprehend English/li liBi-lingual English/Spanish a plus/li liAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions/li liAbility to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule format/li /ul pstrongPhysical Requirements /strong/p pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
