h4Description/h4pWe are currently seeking a full-time Lead Skills Instructor for our Life Choices program in Burlington, MA. This position provides guidance to staff and works directly with our individuals within the day program./p

strong40 hours per week, Program hours are Monday #8211; Friday, 8:00am #8211; 4:00pm/strong/p
pESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/p
ul
liProvide guidance to Instructors in providing personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with both their physical needs and defined support plans. Develop Instructors#8217; ability to adapt and make adjustments to techniques based on functional abilities and limitations. This includes complete familiarity with the profiles and histories of individuals supported and active indications that care and assistance follows the prescribed needs./li
liEnsure that Instructors are providing curriculum and trainings for individuals that enhance their Activities of Daily Living (ADL#8217;s) and specialized service needs areas with focus on continual improvement and/or maintenance of their abilities in coordination with all relevant support plans. Assist with ADL#8217;s as needed./li
liCoordinate with staff the development and implementation of community based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal skill development. Assign transportation as needed./li
liProvide Group Coverage when needed including Active participate in interventions, providing positive, knowledgeable support to staff and managers, ensuring crisis plans and behavior support plans are followed and documented as required by regulation. Complete incident and accident reports in a manner which clearly identifies all components of the intervention and in accordance with regulatory expectations./li
liCommunicate with DDS, residences, and individuals#8217; families as needed./li
liConduct on the job training portion of new employee orientation./li

liBachelor#8217;s Degree preferred with two years of experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and/or high school diploma or equivalent with three years#8217; experience with individuals with Developmental Disabilities./li
liAdequate skills and ability to use computer for documentation, email communication and on-line training./li
liMust have a current driver#8217;s license, acceptable CORI report (criminal record assessment) and clear fingerprint results./li
