pstrongResponsible for the day-to-day performance of all personnel under their supervision on their respective shifts for the terminal cleaning areas/zones assigned. The Supervisors shall oversee the janitorial/custodial services performed to include supervising, training, and inspection of the janitorial services per the technical provisions of the contract. Position requires strong interpersonal skills and compassion and respect for persons with disabilities./strong/p
pstrongEssential Functions: /strong/p
ul
liComply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications./li
liManage and supervise custodian assignments for the cleaning crews for a specific shift/area assigned for scheduled shift./li
liEvaluate/supervisor assigned custodial staff./li
liMaintain a positive relationship with staff members./li
liAssign, oversee, and inspect the cleaning activities of the custodial staff assigned to a specific area of responsibility to meet or exceed contract requirements for quality and timeliness./li
liSchedule general janitorial services in accordance to contract specifications (for example: daily, weekly, bi-weekly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually)./li
liManage custodial assignments and evaluate staff performance./li
liEnsure compliance with dress code and personal hygiene standards for self and staff/li
liMake necessary changes in custodial work force to complete all work assignments according to time lines and schedules./li
liTrain employees in proper cleaning procedures in accordance with contract specifications./li
liIdentify sub-standard cleaning procedures, processes, and misuse of materials and assist in correcting any deficiencies found./li
liMaintain daily log of all cleaning discrepancies noticed during shift./li
liReport malfunctioning restroom fixtures, expended restroom light bulbs, and any other necessary repairs that interfere with cleaning to the MAA, Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or Shift Manager./li
liWork with the inspectors to resolve cleaning problems and to prevent reoccurrence of the noted discrepancies./li
liBased on information received from the Shift Manager, take corrective action to fix sub-standard cleaning procedures, processes, and misuse of materials./li
liTrain the custodial staff on new/improved procedures to correct deficiencies and provide any training needed to correct deficiencies./li
liReview Chimes (JAMS) Inspection Reports daily and ensure corrective action is taken by Crew Leaders. Notify Shift Manger and APM if discrepancies are not part of the scope of work for that shift or are of an emergency nature/li
liSuggest solutions to operational challenges to the Shift Manager./li
liAccept service requests and with Shift Manager or PM/APM approval provide service based on agreement./li
liComplete and submit vital daily, weekly and monthly reports required by either Chimes, MAA, Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Shift Manager./li
liManage, review, track, edit/correct all the daily paperwork completed by employees./li
liReview and ensure time sheets are submitted timely to the Shift Managers/li
liMaintain, monitor, and review daily time/attendance records on custodial crews./li
liNotify APM Shift Managers of No Call/No Shows./li
liAssist Shift Managers as requested for payroll concerns and badging renewal dates./li
liMonitor vacation requests and ensure submitted two weeks prior to requested dates./li
liMaintain required custodial personnel, supply, and equipment records./li
liReview and monitor restroom inspection sheets./li
liReview and monitor all uniform requests and deploy to Equipment Manager./li
liReview and monitor all inventory and equipment logs./li
liReport equipment down time problems and provide the Equipment Manager with frequent status report on the use and condition of equipment for specific shift/piers./li
liMaintain and monitor equipment and sign off sheets to ensure returned in working order./li
liReview and monitor all training requests and work with Training Manager to implement programs and processes./li
liConduct safety training and implement safety policy and procedures, particularly as it relates to the operations of janitorial equipment and proper use of chemicals./li
liMeet with staff regularly to review contract needs./li
liAttend all monthly management meetings./li
liSign for inspection reports and other correspondence on behalf of the contractor./li
liMaintain continual communication with the MAA and BWI Airport Operations Center during normal working hours to respond to problems./li
liTake necessary steps/action to improve the quality of work that is identified by MAA Inspectors or Elliott Reports as substandard/unsatisfactory./li
liReact immediately to custodial emergencies./li
liAssist in implementing the inclement weather and emergency plan of operations for one of the three shifts./li

liObserve BWI Security Procedures for unescorted access privileges to the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) and ensure all staff does the same./li
liComply with MAA’s rules for the site, security and safety guidelines, and Chimes Rules For The Workplace and ensure employee do the same./li

liBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university/li
liValid CPR/FR certification/li
liKnowledge of green cleaning principles and CIMS certification requirements/li
liKnowledge of electronic tracking systems such as MAXIMO, SAMS, TAMS, JAMS/li
liKnowledge of regulatory standards, hospital standards, and facility management/li
liKnowledge about regulations for SDS, Fire and Safety, Hazard Communications and Bloodborne Pathogens/li

liMinimum two (3) years’ experience in custodial supervision and administrative duties/li
