Must be available for shop on-call rotation, and able to do road calls using a company vehicle./span/span/li/ulp class="MsoNormal"spanspanstrongQualifications you’ll bring as a Mechanic II:/strong/span/span/pul type="disc"li class="MsoNormal"spanspanHave High School Diploma or GED. Trade school graduate in heavy duty diesel repairs, and/or refrigeration/span/spanbrspanspanclasses is preferred. Beginning level is preferred./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanHave 1-2 years job experience on diesel repairs, tractor- trailer, refrigeration maintenance and repairs./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanOne year documented experience in fleet maintenance or one-year employment with company at upper scale of Class C Technician./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanPossess basic hand tools (up to ½” drive) and tool storage./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanPossess or acquire within 1 year from date of hire a current ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) (Test T8)./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanPossess a Valid Class C Driver’s License. A Class A license is preferred but not required./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanStand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanPreferred certifications:/span/spanul type="circle"li class="MsoNormal"spanspanCertification in Transportation Refrigeration./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanBrake Systems and components./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanTractor A/C Refrigeration and Freon Recovery (609 license required)./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanTrailer Refrigeration 608 license required if working on trailer units./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanHeavy Duty electrical diagnostics and repairs./span/span/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanPrefer ASE Certification in heavy duty mechanics and Cummins or Detroit certification./span/span/li/ul/lili class="MsoNormal"spanspanThis position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
