This individual is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all facility areas, including but not limited to, resident rooms, common areas and offices. /p h2Responsibilities/h2 ul liMaintain cleanliness of general areas and assigned rooms of residents./li lipHelp move personal belongings of residents and clean and disinfect floor, furniture, bed and bathroom according to accepted procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred to another room./p/li lipFollow safety rules, and where applicable, maintain vigilance concerning fire regulations and hazards as stated in procedures./p/li lipPractice infection control principles in cleaning methods and personal hygiene./p/li lipKeep cleaning compounds and hazardous substances stored properly for the protection of residents and staff./p/li lipCollect and dispose of trash and other refuse in such a manner that prevents the transmission of disease and does not create a nuisance or fire hazard, nor a breeding place for insects and rodents./p/li /ul p /p h2From/h2 h2Up to/h2 h2Qualifications/h2 ul liMinimum 16 years of age/li liHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred/li liCustodial, janitorial, housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred/li /ul p*Individuals under 18 years of age must be excluded from the usage of dangerous equipment such as: compactors./p p /p p /p ul liThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level./li /ul h2EOE Statement/h2WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
