pspan style="font-weight: bold"Position Overview/span/p pThe DMS Program Advisor serves as a key consultant between the hospital’s imaging department and Sacramento Ultrasound Institute (SUI), providing expert guidance to strengthen and enhance the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. This role focuses on aligning academic instruction with current clinical practice standards, improving clinical readiness, and supporting program quality and accreditation goals./p pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Primary Responsibilities/span/p ul liAdvise on curriculum relevance, clinical competencies, and emerging trends in diagnostic medical sonography./li liProvide feedback on lab practices, protocols, and scanning techniques to ensure students are prepared for clinical rotations./li liCollaborate with program leadership to identify areas for improvement in training, clinical preparedness, and faculty development./li liRecommend updates to clinical evaluation tools, competencies, and policies to align with professional and accreditation standards./li liSupport communication and collaboration between the hospital’s imaging team and SUI faculty to enhance the clinical learning experience./li liParticipate in periodic program review meetings, either in person or virtually./li liOffer insight into current hospital imaging workflows and technology advancements that can inform didactic and lab instruction./li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Qualifications/span/p ul liARDMS or CCI certification in at least one sonography specialty (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, or Cardiac)./li liMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in diagnostic medical sonography, including clinical leadership or lead technologist experience preferred./li liStrong understanding of clinical education and accreditation expectations (CAAHEP, ABHES preferred)./li liExcellent communication and organizational skills./li liCommitment to student success and continuous program improvement./li /ul pbr/p pspan style="font-weight: bold"Time Commitment and Compensation/span/p ul liApproximately 5 hours per week (flexible scheduling)./li liCompensation commensurate with experience and agreed consulting rate./li /ul
