We collaborate with organizations and coalitions in communities throughout New York to address critical issues at the local, state and federal levels./span/p pbr/p pspan style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline"About the position/spanspan style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px" /span/p pspan style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px"Citizen Action is looking to add a temporary canvasser to our Central New York team. /spanspan style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px"The canvass position focuses on going door-to-door in low income communities and communities of color in order to activate community members  and recruit them for our issue campaigns and organization  In particular, this position focuses on educating and recruiting tenants and community members to protect and fight for housing protections and rights in Utica.
