This position, in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, provides primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. Performs unit-specific competencies to include the performance of nursing treatments and provision of clinical services, within the scope of practice./liliMaintains nursing standards of care and responds to changing workloads and patient conditions by:  remaining calm, making objective assessments, prioritizing, and asking for assistance as appropriate. /liliCompletes patient assessments and reassessments according to the unit specifications and standards of practice./liliTranscribes and implements provider verbal and written orders and treatments. Accurately and efficiently notes chart reviews and observation. Timely documents all patient care in the electronic health record according to unit and organizational requirements./liliComplies with all infection control and safety policies and procedures and disposes of bio hazardous materials per department protocol.  Performs environmental cleaning and equipment quality control and maintenance per department procedures./liliIdentifies, verbally evaluates, and reports identified reaction changes in the stated physical and mental conditions of patients per department protocol./liliAdheres to the code of professional nursing.
