Delivery Driver

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of fresh seafood products to restaurants, markets, and clients. This role ensures product quality and food safety standards are maintained throughout the delivery process while providing professional, friendly and reliable customer service.

Core Responsibilities

Transportation & Safety

• Operate refrigerated delivery vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and food safety (HACCP) standards.
• Maintain required temperature controls to preserve product freshness during transport.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, including fuel levels and refrigeration units.

Loading, Unloading & Product Handling

• Load, secure, and unload seafood products using appropriate equipment such as dollies, hand trucks or by hand.
• Handle iced and refrigerated products carefully to protect product integrity.
• Lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs or more.

Delivery & Customer Service

• Deliver products accurately and on schedule to assigned customers.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service at all delivery locations.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding deliveries and issues as they arise.

Documentation & Inventory

• Verify invoices and delivery orders for accuracy.
• Track inventory and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Report discrepancies or issues promptly to management.

Required/Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate local routes using maps or navigation tools.
• Physical ability to work in cold, wet conditions and perform repetitive lifting.
• Previous commercial or delivery driving experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Experience handling perishable or refrigerated food products.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Work in a fast-paced environment with early morning or overnight shifts.
• Regular exposure to cold temperatures and wet conditions due to refrigerated trucks and melting ice.
