Catering Supervisor - Full-time

divpspanResponsible for the supervision of all aspects of a high-volume catering operation, including in-house catering rooms and off-site locations. Duties include training, coaching and supervision of staff, interactions with guests, and evaluation of personnel, products, and equipment. Service styles range from box lunch drop-offs to VIP receptions and plated meals. Plans, coordinates and involved in all areas, including meeting with clients, service activities, sanitation, and fiscal responsibilities. This is an essential staff position in Hospitality Services and is necessary for food production/service operations through weather or other emergency conditions.·/span/pp/ppbJob Duties:/b/pullipspanTrain, schedule, and evaluate assigned staff on work to be performed. /span/p/lilipspanResponsible for coaching and disciplining non- student and student staff through the shift. /span/p/lilipspanDevelops weekly schedules for all caterers, based on events and staffing availability and adjusting as needed for any event or staffing changes, considering the strengths and weaknesses of the individual and planning ahead for large upcoming events that require staffing beyond our daily capacity/span/p/lilipspanMonitor the daily event log and emails and adjust the schedule as needed based on event and staffing changes. /span/p/lilipspanAssume responsibility for covering/correcting staffing shortages, operational problems, and performance issues./span/p/lilipspanOversees and actively participates in the planning, staging, setup, and service for all catered events, across many different venues, on-and-off-campus. /span/p/lilipspanSupervises and provides direction to student-staff and oversees the work of full-time caterers. /span/p/lilipspanThis position must be available to answer time-sensitive questions and concerns off-hours. /span/p/lilipspanResponsible for coaching and disciplining non-student and student staff. /span/p/lilipspanInteracts with clients, including the UNH President and other VIPs daily. /span/p/lilipspanPossesses a comprehensive knowledge of the UNH campus, buildings, and off-site venues. /span/p/lilipspanDevelop and maintain client relationships./span/p/lilipspanEnsure that food supplies, utensils, and event signage necessary for efficient operations are available and that equipment is functioning properly. /span/p/lilipspanEnsure that food is served at proper temperature and safely handled until consumed, stored or discarded. /span/p/lilipspanResponsible for student payroll and timecard record keeping. /span/p/lilipspanMaintain necessary service records, temperature logs and other records/reports. /span/p/lilipspanCoordinates all vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs. /span/p/lilipspanEnsures students are in compliance with PCI Certification, Defensive Driving and Title IX.
