pPAML a Labcorp company is seeking a bSpecimen Processor /bto join our team in the Spokane Valley, WA/pp/ppbWork Schedule:/b Monday - Friday 3:30pm to 12:00 am overtime and rotating weekends may be required/pp/ppbJob Responsibilities:/b/pullip Introduce and prepare biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing/p/lilipOpen specimens and pour off into secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing/p/lilipVerify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted/p/lilipData entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes/p/lilipMeet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results/p/lilipUnpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas/p/lilipPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required/p/lilipProperly prepare and store excess specimen samples/p/lilipResolve and document any problem specimens/p/lilipHandle and dispose of medical and chemical waste/p/lilipComply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures/p/lilipOperate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary/p/li/ulp/ppbMinimum Qualifications:/b/pullipHigh school diploma or GED or equivalent/p/li/ulp/ppbPreferred Qualifications:/b/pullip6 Months or more previous medical or production experience/p/li/ulp/ppbAdditional Job Standards:/b/pullipProficient computer and typing skills/p/lilipMust pass standardized color vision test/p/lilipComfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples/p/lilipAbility to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time/p/lilipStrong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sight/p/lilipAbility to work both independently and in a team environment/p/lilipFlexibility to work overtime as needed/p/lilipExceptional customer service/p/lilipStrong communication skills; both written and verbal/p/lilipAbility to work independently or in a team environment/p/lilipComfortable working under minimal supervision/p/li/ulp/ppbAre you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right?
