This travel nursing position is a 14-week contract in a Level 2 Emergency Department, offering hands-on acute care experience and access to scenic lakeside living.

- Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse / ED RN (Travel Nurse)\n
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130\n
- Location: Penn Yan, NY (14527) — Finger Lakes, New York\n
- Setting: Level 2 Emergency Department (acute care / emergency nursing)\n
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 29, 2026)\n
- Hours: 36 hours per week\n
- Shift: Full time Days or Nights as scheduled (3x12 hour shifts); every other weekend; holiday rotation; 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks\n
- Floating: Required to float to Geneva General Hospital as needed\n

- Minimum 1 year acute hospital experience as a Registered Professional Nurse; ED experience preferred (Emergency Nurse / ER Nurse)\n
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (NYS RN) license\n
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)\n
- NIHSS certification\n
- Ability to float to other facilities (Geneva General Hospital) as required\n
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills for acute care / emergency nursing\n

- Assess patient needs, prioritize urgent and emergent care, and deliver direct emergency nursing care in the ED\n
- Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions for life-threatening and routine emergencies\n
- Provide relationship-based care to reduce anxiety, communicate clearly with patients and families, and address pain, comfort, and safety\n
- Conduct primary and secondary assessments, document deviations from norms, and identify necessary interventions\n
- Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments and provide clear education for post-emergency care and discharge instructions\n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, delegate appropriately, and support infection prevention and public safety measures\n
- Maintain continuous awareness of patient condition during the ED visit, update communication boards, and keep patients and families informed\n
