RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• 20-bed unit with 2:1 patient ratio, though 1:1 is common for higher acuity patients
\n• Strict 75-mile radius restriction for candidates
\n• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
\n• Chart using MEDITECH system
\n• BSN not required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
\n• Care for neuro patients with brain drains and herniation
\n• Manage ortho trauma patients requiring traction
\n• Work with cardiovascular devices including balloon pumps, impellas, and ekos
\n• Provide post-operative care for open-heart CABG patients
\n• Handle open abdomen cases from OR that may be re-opened at bedside
\n• Future involvement with planned ECMO program starting this summer
\n• Manage renal patients requiring CRRT that RNs run at bedside
\n• Receive medical ICU overflow patients when sister units are full
\n• ICU or STICU experience in level 1-2 trauma centers preferred
\n• Specialized training provided for advanced devices on top of generic ICU experience
