Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring night shift availability and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details\n

\n
• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
\n
• 10-bed unit with patient ratios that vary by stage of labor, ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
\n
• Direct care provided to obstetrical patients
\n
• Schedule: 4x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
\n
• Weekend work required
\n
• No on-call responsibilities
\n
• Floating required if needed
\n
• Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
\n
• Meditech EMR used; experience preferred but on-site training available
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active NC or compact state RN license required
\n
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
\n
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
\n
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
\n
• Current ACLS certification required (must have been obtained within the last 6 months)
\n
• CPI certification must be in hand prior to start
\n
• Two professional references required for consideration
\n
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
\n

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, executing and evaluating provider orders, care documentation, and interdisciplinary communication

• Care is provided in accordance with all hospital policies and accreditation standards
