Mammography Technologist – Permanent Full Time
Location: Craig, CO
Shift: Day Shift
Salary Range: $73,008 – $109,491 annually
Day Shift schedule

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality breast imaging services in a clinical radiology environment. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic mammography procedures, supporting quality assurance initiatives, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with radiologist protocols
Operate and maintain mammography imaging equipment
Ensure compliance with FDA mammography regulations and accreditation standards
Conduct and document daily quality assurance (QA) and preventative maintenance activities
Maintain structured documentation for audit tracking and workflow monitoring
Verify patient identity using two identifiers and provide clear procedural education
Review patient history, obtain informed consent, and ensure accurate documentation prior to interpretation
Maintain electronic medical records, including procedure charges and supply tracking
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with service engineers as needed
Support cross-training initiatives and assist with imaging coverage when required
Manage inventory and maintain adequate clinical supplies
Demonstrate flexibility for occasional overtime or call coverage if needed
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Active ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) certifications required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
Active state licensure required
Minimum 2 years of experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist preferred
Cross-training or experience in CT, MRI, or DEXA highly desirable
Experience with PACS, RIS, or HIS electronic medical record systems preferred
Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and radiation safety standards
Understanding of quality assurance and regulatory compliance processes
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent patient communication and education skills
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
