Position Summary\n

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Level 3 Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking abilities, excellent clinical judgment, and experience managing patients with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening emergencies. This role requires the ability to prioritize care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care based on clinical acuity.
  • \n
  • Provide emergency nursing care to patients experiencing medical, surgical, traumatic, and behavioral health emergencies.
  • \n
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
  • \n
  • Assist physicians with emergency procedures including trauma stabilization, intubation, central line placement, conscious sedation, and cardiac emergencies.
  • \n
  • Monitor patient responses, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • \n
  • Operate and monitor emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators.
  • \n
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges while ensuring continuity of care.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • \n
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, radiology, and other healthcare professionals.
  • \n
  • Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • \n
  • Participate in trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other emergency response activations.
  • \n
Required Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • \n
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ER) experience preferred.
  • \n
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • \n
  • Current BLS (AHA) certification.
  • \n
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
  • \n
  • PALS certification preferred or required based on facility needs.
  • \n
  • TNCC and/or ENPC preferred.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of emergency nursing principles, critical care, and trauma management.
  • \n
Preferred Skills\n
    \n
  • Experience with trauma centers, stroke centers, or high-volume emergency departments.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • \n
  • Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n

  • Fast-paced Emergency Department with rapidly changing patient acuity.

  • Frequent exposure to critical illnesses, trauma cases, and emergency procedures.

  • Requires standing, walking, lifting, and responding quickly during emergency situations.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as required.

Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ER) experience preferred.
