Senior Engineer

REPORTS TO:
Director of Engineering
The Senior Engineer plays a fundamental role in managing engineering projects, collaborating with the sales team, and providing engineered standards of lift plans.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to):
- Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Oversee the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products.
- Support Project Managers with lift plan requests and crane configurations to ensure compliance with standards.
- Coordinate technical data requests with different crane manufacturers.
- Work with the Director of Engineering to ensure compliance with standards while maintaining the growth of the Engineering resources.
- Provide technical training to employees as needed, this includes existing and new employees.
EDUCATIONAL AND PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:
Engineering Degree or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong technical skills, focus on AutoCAD product line and Liebherr software
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Strong oral communication skills necessary to communicate over the telephone and in-person with all company personnel, clients and suppliers.
- Physical and mental ability to work in an environment with rapid business growth and pressure due to business demands.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities while dealing with continuous interruptions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some physical effort required. Must be able to tolerate extended periods of sitting or standing; frequent use of a computer and cell phone and have the ability to communicate and hear effectively.
- The employee is often required to stand and walk safely in the office and at job sites, reach with hands, arms and stoop and bend and lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Flow of work and character of duties involves normal visual and mental attention.
- Duties require willingness to work a flexible schedule and/or weekends.
