Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position in New Lenox, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- 13-week contract in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of an acute care hospital in New Lenox, IL
- Neonatal patient population including critically ill newborns requiring intensive monitoring and intervention
- Comfort with neonatal vents, Vapotherm, CPAP, neonatal IV lines, TPN, and code blue response required
- 12-hour night shifts, scheduled for 36 hours per week
- One weekend shift required every 3rd weekend
Requirements
- Active Illinois (IL) RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NRP
- Minimum 3 years of Level III NICU experience required
- COVID vaccination required — declinations will not be approved
- Skills checklist specific to NICU discipline required (must be dated within the last year)
- Two supervisory references required (completed within the last year)
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include delivering and coordinating care to assigned neonatal patients while maintaining professional nursing standards
- May provide leadership and supervision to CNAs, LPNs, or other assigned healthcare workers
- RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
- First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible — 3 years of Level III NICU experience is required
