JOB SUMMARY: Imaging Fulfillment Specialist Diagnostic Radiology will work closely with the Imaging Departments physicians/radiologists and clinical staff, perform and manage accurate and efficient image and record management, follow through on critical imaging and patient records requests, fulfill imaging requests, index and process documents with the Imaging Department and other duties assigned by director and supervisor. SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Upload patients medical records from outside healthcare facilities and reviews them for accuracy and completeness. 2. Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information by updating, adding, and editing patient records and imaging exams into various EMR systems following departmental guidelines. 3. Assist physicians/radiologists with various duties by requesting patient images and other patient records requests in a timely and proactive manner. 4. Work closely with staff physicians and director on additional projects as needed. 5. Navigate EMR systems and scheduling systems. 6. Maintain daily written or electronic documentation of completed work to provide clarity for future workflow evaluations. 7. Works requests from the Imaging Fulfillment Ticket System. Processes requests by date order as well as working those that are considered STAT requests. 8. Manages requests that come through group email from both internal as well as external customers requesting STAT images be pushed. 9. Prepares and processes correspondence of routine and STAT medical inquiries. 10. Follow through on requests and maintain patient confidentiality while managing radiology exams and reports. 11. Burns discs for patients upon request. 12. Ensure requested outside exams are received and uploaded in a timely manner. 13. Manage and maintain the Imaging Fulfillment shared folder to fulfill imaging request and requests made by the HIM Department. 14. Any and all duties as assigned by supervisor. OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: As signed by supervisor and director SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION: High School Diploma or GED, required EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: One year computer experience in a medical office setting, requiredAbility to communicate clearly and concisely.Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical procedures.Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.Strong time management and organizational skills for use in a high volume, deadline driven environment.Computer and other basic office equipment skills including basic network/ file management.Technical skills and knowledge to request, upload and maintain patient records.Ability to gain understanding of various types of documents, correspondence, and the processes for various lines of imaging fulfillment as well as analyzing the content of documents.Proven ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.Ability to manage fluctuating volumes of work.Competent in a variety of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.Multitasking abilities and attention to detail and accuracy with little room for error is a must. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
