pPay rates range from strong$165.00/strong to strong$174.00 /strongper hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience. /p

pFull Time and Part Time positions may be available! /p

pAs a strongCorrectional Psychiatrist/strong, you will oversee clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex mental health needs./p
h2Responsibilities/h2
pThe strongPsychiatrist /strongis responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnosing mental health conditions to facility residents that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Additional responsibilities may include and not be limited to:/p
ul
liProviding medication management, therapy, and other evidence-based treatment plans to address mental health needs/li
liOversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations performed by others/li
liResponding to acute mental health crises within the facility/li
liSupporting the rehabilitation of patients and facilitating their successful transition back into the community/li
liCoordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care/li
liEnsuring compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standards/li
liCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including correctional staff, psychologists, social workers and other medical professionals to develop and implement treatment plans and ensuring staff are responsive to patients’ needs/li

pstronguEducation / Licenses / Certifications/u/strong/p
ul
liMust hold a current unrestricted license as a Psychiatrist in the state/li
liA current DEA registration in the state/li
liBe able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)/li
liBe certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)/li
liMust possess strong written communication and verbal skills and have strong computer skills./li

liExperience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders/li
liStrong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals, including other medical professionals, correctional staff and judges/li
liAbility to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans/li
liKnowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards/li

liAble to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information/li
liDisplay integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements/li
