Position Overview
The Anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures and work closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and other medical professionals to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a wide range of surgical and medical procedures
- Evaluate patients prior to procedures and develop appropriate anesthesia care plans
- Monitor patients during procedures and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure patient safety and quality care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities

Requirements
General Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Completion of an accredited residency program in anesthesiology
- Eligible for or able to obtain a Vermont medical license
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment

- Prior clinical experience in hospital-based anesthesiology practice
