Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client, a leading organization in the transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. As a Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Quincy, IL

Pay Range: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour (DOE)

Shift: M - F 8am - 5pm

What's the Job?

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as they arise
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions
• Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations

What's Needed?

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with McLeod Software is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines
