Hours:         

Primary Location- 3669 Southwestern , MACC PSC. Variable start between 6 am - 9 am. Although the associate may work at any CH PSC in the event of DBL, SLP, FMLA, etc, the associate will primarily cover 1 pm - 5pm, 11 am - 5 pm, and 7 am-3 pm shifts at the MACC PSC. In addition - In the event of critical needs staffing - the associate may work within Catholic Health as needed based on skill set.

 

Summary:

Primarily responsible for specimen collection procedures, including but not limited to, venipuncture and capillary draws for patients within the Patient Service Centers.


Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

    • High School diploma or GED
    • Successful completion of Clinical Phlebotomy rotation and/or six (6) months experience in phlebotomy which includes micro-collection and butterfly collection on both geriatric and neonate/pediatric patients preferred
    • Proof of certification required if experience is less than six (6) months

EXPERIENCE

    • Six (6) months experience in phlebotomy which includes micro-collection and butterfly collection on both geriatric and neonate/pediatric patients

    • Ability to obtain information and interpret this information in terms of the patient’s needs
