Paint Prep

Penmac Staffing is now hiring for a Paint Prep position with a local boat manufacturing company. This is a full-time, temp‑to‑hire opportunity working Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime available on Fridays. Pay starts at $18.68 per hour. The Paint Prep role focuses on preparing aluminum boats and parts for painting using hand tools, measuring tools, and air tools. 

Requirements:

• Ability to read a tape measure and other basic measuring devices.
• Experience using air tools such as grinders, sanders, drills, and spray equipment.
• Knowledge of basic assembly and how to put parts together.
• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, and use hands and wrists frequently.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable working in warm environments, often 100 degrees or higher.
• Able to safely get in and out of boats as needed.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prep aluminum boats and parts for painting using sanding, grinding, masking, and other techniques.
• Perform daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe.
• Mask various parts and boats according to instructions.
• Ensure quality and accuracy in all work completed.
• Work efficiently under pressure and meet production goals.
• Work overtime as required.
