Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the oversight and management for the overall inventory of the store and to ensure accuracy of inventory counts, physical and book inventory, as well as all shipping and receiving. The stock associate works alongside the management team to protect company assets. Accuracy of work output is a critical accountability of this role. The position targets are measured by exceptional customer service and inventory shrinkage results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receives all incoming deliveries by counting all products and comparing them to company provided packing slip or invoice.
  • Enter receiving information into POS software.
  • Ticket merchandise as needed.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, records damages and shortages, and notify upper management of any problems.
  • Advises General Manager of any discrepancies in received goods.
  • Picks and Packs distributions for store transfers as needed.
  • Received shipment from UPS or other shippers as necessary.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies, packaging supplies, and POP material.
  • Notify supervisor when supplies are needed to ensure enough supplies are on hand to support business needs.
  • Conducts cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory stock quantities.
  • Reports any product variances and product needs to immediately to supervisor.
  • Assist management in shipping, logging, and following up on all customer shipments.
  • Complete shipping log.
  • Assist with overall maintenance of the store.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is working properly and report any technical or systemic challenges.
  • Ship supplies/fixtures/etc to other stores as needed.
  • Remain professional; refrain from use of offensive or inappropriate language while at work.
  • Able to build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to achieving targeted objectives.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Three years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be familiar with various carrier manifests (UPS, FED. EXP).
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office products (Word Excel).
