h2Position Summary/h2 p/p pAcuren is recruiting for full-time PLI Technicians for our Duluth, MN location.  /p p /p pRelocation Assistance and Sign-On Bonus available for qualified candidates.  /p h2Responsibilities/h2 pWorking in the Pipeline Integrity Services group, a range of technical and operational assignments will be conducted relating to pipeline field examination, analysis, review, and reporting of pipeline inspection data, ultimately supporting our customers’ pipeline integrity management programs. Approximately 90% of this role will be spent in the field, field office, and traveling across the US. 10% of time will be spent at the home division location. The PLI Technician will work independently for extended periods in remote areas./p ul liAdherence to Acuren and customer required procedures and specifications, including reports/li liPerform direct assessment of as-found pipe condition, including coating assessment, soils and topography, and cathodic protection/li liPerform direct examination to assess pipe for cracks, corrosion, deformation, and manufacturing anomalies/li liCorrelate as-found pipe features to Inline Inspection (ILI) log/li liConduct fit-for-service evaluations as per ASME B31.3 and RSTRENG/li liConduct hazard assessments prior to beginning work and follow safe work procedures/li liCalibration and set up of NDE equipment/li liProvide clients with quality services in a timely manner/li liFollow regulatory requirements, work to codes, procedures, and techniques/li liBe responsible for the custody, care and correct use of valuable technical equipment, tools, machinery, publications, materials, job items, vehicles, and other assets/li liUnderstanding of Pipeline Integrity processes, techniques, and procedures/li liCompose and write pipeline integrity inspection reports, including assisting other pipeline integrity technicians with reporting/li liMaintaining metrics on reporting, costs, productivity, and priority digs/li liUpdating pipeline integrity databases and managing FTP sites/li liAttending operational meetings with customer engineers and project engineers/managers/li liAssist with dig package and cost estimating/li liResponsible for on-the-job training and guidance of PLI Assistants and PLI Junior Technicians/li /ul h2Requirements/h2 ul liHigh School Diploma or equivalent/li liMust have required QA documentation (proof of classroom hours proof of experience hours)/li liSome college preferred/li liTechnical background desired/li liExperience working with pipeline integrity or pipeline maintenance positions/li liExtensive knowledge of quality and safety requirements/li liCandidate must have current and valid Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 and Ultrasonic Thickness Level 2/li liCandidate must have at least one of the following certifications or endorsements: ul liCreaform 3D Laser Scanning (Handyscan)/li liAutomated Corrosion Scan Mapping/li liUltrasonic Phased Array or TOFD/li liIn-situ Material Verification (Frontics or MMT HSD Tester)/li /ul/li liCandidate preference for NACE Level CIP Level I / CP Level I/li /ul h2Benefits/h2 ul liCompetitive salary/li liMedical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance/li li401K Plan/li liPaid Holidays/li liPaid Time Off/li liPay Transparency: As per applicable state law the job posting pay range is $29.31 - $48.85/hr depending on experience and applicable certifications./li /ul h2Company Overview/h2 pAcuren is a trusted, single source provider of technology-enabled asset protection solutions used to evaluate the structural integrity of critical energy, industrial and public infrastructures.
