🩺 Med/Tele/PCU RN | Bismarck, ND

We are currently seeking an experienced Med/Tele/PCU Registered Nurse for a night shift travel opportunity in Bismarck, North Dakota. This unit primarily focuses on cardiac and telemetry patients, with occasional PCU-level care.

📍 Location: Bismarck, ND 58501
🕒 Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
⏰ Hours: 48 Hours Weekly
📅 Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

💰 Profile Review + Manager Interview Required

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS

Experience Required

• Must have PCU experience
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Tele/Cardiac RN experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Unit Details

• Beds: 32
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:

• 1:4–5 typical

• Occasional 1:5–6 on nights

• PCU overflow: 1:3

Common Patient Types

• Cardiac cath patients
• EP studies & pacemakers
• Medical patients with cardiac history
• Pneumonia / COVID / Influenza
• Sepsis
• Alcohol withdrawal (ETOH)
• Acute on chronic cardiac conditions

Clinical Skills

• Titration of Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix, low-dose Dopamine
• Experience with BiPAP, trachs, Airvo
• Telemetry interpretation required

Unit Support

• Charge nurse on each shift (may take light assignment)
• Patient care techs available (goal ratio 1:10)
• Telemetry monitors at bedside with monitoring support at nurses station

Scheduling & Additional Details

• Shifts: 7a–7p / 7p–7a
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• Manager creates the schedule (block scheduling may be considered)
• 2 shifts of orientation

Floating Requirements

• May float to PCU, Med-Surg, or assist in ER holds/boarding

Dress Code: Any color scrubs
Radius Rule: 50 miles
